Pit Lizard Print Terms & Conditions

Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of goods and services by Pit Lizard Print to its Customers.

By accepting a quotation, placing an order, approving artwork or instructing Pit Lizard Print to proceed with production, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

ACL means the Australian Consumer Law contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

Customer means the person, business or entity purchasing goods or services from Pit Lizard Print.

Goods means all printed products, signage, promotional products, apparel, merchandise or other products supplied by Pit Lizard Print.

Services means all design, pre-press, print management, installation, warehousing, fulfilment, logistics, marketing platform services and associated professional services supplied by Pit Lizard Print.

Quote means any written quotation or proposal issued by Pit Lizard Print.

Quotations

Unless otherwise stated:

• quotations remain valid for fourteen (14) days;
• prices exclude GST unless specifically stated;
• quotations are based on the specifications supplied by the Customer;
• any variation to specifications may require the quotation to be revised;
• quotations are subject to material availability and supplier pricing.

No contract exists until Pit Lizard Print accepts the Customer’s order.

Artwork, Proofing, and Production Standards

The Customer is solely responsible for proofreading and approving all final artwork; Pit Lizard Print accepts no responsibility for typographical errors or layout issues post-approval.

The Customer warrants they own the copyright or have explicit legal permission to reproduce any supplied photographs, logos, or artwork. The Customer indemnifies Pit Lizard Print against any claim arising from the infringement of intellectual property rights.

Large-Scale Photography: Customers must supply high-resolution, print-ready files. We accept no liability for pixelation, blurriness, or artifacting resulting from scaling low-resolution images for large format printing.

Specialty Finishes: We offer various laminates (e.g., matte, gloss, textured) for stickers and photographic prints. Laminating films may slightly alter the final perceived colour, glare, or contrast of the underlying print.

Screen displays (RGB) do not provide an exact colour match to physical print outputs (CMYK); hard-copy sample proofs for critical colour matching are available upon request for an additional fee.

All physical dimensions, including custom sticker die-lines, are subject to a standard industry tolerance of +/- 5mm to account for substrate shifting and shrinkage during lamination and cutting.

Due to manufacturing processes, final production quantities may vary slightly from the quantity ordered. The Customer will be invoiced only for the quantity supplied.

General Orders and Payment Terms

Orders placed through the website store require 100% upfront payment at checkout prior to file processing and production.

Customer order payment terms are as stated on the quotation or invoice.

All custom production requires a 50% non-refundable deposit before design or production commences, to cover the cost of initial labour and material procurement. The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full prior to dispatch, collection, or installation.

Where no payment terms are specified, payment is due within seven (7) days of invoice.

Ownership of all goods remains with Pit Lizard Print until invoices are paid in full.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Pit Lizard Print will manage customer information in accordance with its Privacy and Information Handling Policy and applicable Australian privacy legislation.

Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of commercially sensitive information obtained during the course of the business relationship.

Application, Delivery & Legal Compliance

Substrate & Adhesion: Pit Lizard Print does not warrant adhesive bond strength on low-surface-energy plastics, unpainted materials, or textured surfaces; suitability testing rests with the customer.

DIY Installation: Pit Lizard Print accepts no liability for adhesion failures caused by improper surface preparation, dirty application environments, or paint outgassing on surfaces cured for less than 4 weeks.

Australian Consumer Law & Jurisdiction: In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, liability is strictly limited to the repair, replacement, or resupply of defective goods, governed by the laws of Queensland.

Delivery: Delivery dates provided by Pit Lizard Print are estimates only.

While reasonable efforts will be made to meet requested delivery dates, Pit Lizard Print is not liable for delays resulting from supplier delays, freight providers, customer approvals, or events beyond reasonable control.

Risk in the Goods passes to the Customer upon delivery.

The Customer must inspect all Goods immediately upon delivery.

Any claim relating to shortages, defects or damage must be made in writing within seven (7) days of delivery.

Where a defect is confirmed, Pit Lizard Print may, at its discretion offer to repair, replace or provide an appropriate credit or refund for the goods.

Amendments

Pit Lizard Print may amend these Terms from time to time.

The version published on Pit Lizard Print's website or otherwise provided to the Customer at the time an order is accepted will apply to that order.
